Paprika Smoked Sweet La Chinata 70g TinSweet smoked paprika comes from the Le Vera region in Spain. There are three types of this sesational paprika. Dulce (sweet) has a sweet, smoky flavour, and is deep red in colour. Agridulce (bittersweet) has a sharp, bittersweet flavour, and the colour is similar to dulce. Picante (hot) has a distinct bitterness with a lingering heat similar to a mild chilli powder, yet with a smoky flavour. Smoked paprika should always be used sparingly as the flavour is quite intense. Use in soups and casseroles. It is great added to mayonnaise along with coriander powder, lemon juice and garlic for seafood dipping sauce. Also sprinkled on grilled cheese on toast and poached eggs. |

Pepper Native Ground 20gGround native pepper, otherwise known as Tasmanian pepperberry, is found growing wild in the rainforests of Tasmania. It has, at first a sweet fruity flavour which is soon followed by an intense, numbing heat, which will certainly make your eyes water! The colour of ground native pepper will vary. The ground air dried berries are dark brown to almost black in colour, and the freeze dried berries have a reddish-purple colour. You may be a little more generous with the freeze dried berries as they have a milder taste. Always use the air dried berries sparingly unless you are very brave! |
